DIY LIPSTICK

AS MUCH AS I LOVE TO BUY MAKEUP , I LOVE TO MAKE MY OWN MAKEUP PRODUCTS . I LOVE THE FACT THAT I COULD TOTALLY CUSTOMIZE IT TO MY LIKING … HERE IS A SIMPLE RECIPE FOR MAKING A LIPSTICK … 🙂

ALL YOU NEED FOR MAKING THIS DIY IS :

1) A MOISTURISING AGENT (SHEA BUTTER , COCONUT OIL, OLIVE OIL OR EVEN VASELINE WORKS )

shea butter
I USED SHEA BUTTER

2) A PIGMENT ( ANYTHING FROM EYESHADOWS, FOOD COLORS , TO EVEN AN OLD LIPSTICK WORKS )

any pigments of chhoice
I USED EYE SHADOWS

3) A CONTAINER

container

4) COSMETIC OR EDIBLE GLITTER (OPTIONAL)glitter

HERE IS  HOW YOU DO IT !!!!!

MELT THE SHEA BUTTER IN A MICROWAVE OR EVEN USING A DOUBLE BOILING METHOD  ONCE THE SHEA BUTTER IS MELTED ADD THE PIGMENTS OF YOUR CHOICE IN THE CONTAINER ( IF YOU ARE USING EYESHADOWS MAKE SURE TO CRUSH IT WELL WITH A TOOTH PICK ) . COMBINE THE OIL WITH PIGMENT WELL ..add the pigments

melt the butter

NOW OPTIONALLY ADD THE GLITTER IF YOU WANT TO ….addd the glitterp

NOW ADD THE MIXTURE INTO A CONTAINER AND REFRIGERATE IT IN A FREEZER FOR 10-15 MINS … ( IF YOU ARE REUSING AN OLD LIPSTICK CONTAINER AFTER CLEANING IF WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL , POUR A BIT TO THIS MIXTURE INTO THE CONTAINER AND FREEZE IT FIRST , BEFORE POURING THE REST IN . IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MIXTURE DOES’NT LEAK FROM THEE BOTTOM )

pour into...    refrigerate

I DEFINETLY GOT A BIT CARRIED AWAY AND MADE A COUPLE TO LIPSTICKS .. HERE ARE A COUPLE OF ONES THAT I CREATED …. 😛

THAT’S IT …UNDER A MATTER OF 15 MINS YOU’VE GOT YOUR OWN CUSTMIZABLE LIPSTICKS . HERE I MADE A MOISTURISING LIPSTICK , IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A MATTE LIPSTICK ADD A SMALLER PROPORTION OF OIL INTO THE MIXTURE AND IF YOU WANT A LIP BALM , ADD MORE OIL TO THE MIXTURE ……
